Poker players can beat the winter cold this December by qualifying online for a seat to LAPT Nuevo Vallarta, the next leg on the PokerStars.net Latin American Poker Tour.
The Main Event of LAPT Nuevo Vallarta, Mexcio will run December 5 to December 7 and offer a USD$3,500 + USD$200 buy-in. The event is capped to 500 players and will be the tour’s first visit to Mexico.
After the mix of sunshine and glamorous parties proved a hit with players at last season’s LAPT, organisers have added more dates to this season’s calendar and more stops will be announced shortly.
Players that qualify on-line with event sponsor, PokerStars.net, will stay at the luxurious Marival Resort and Suites.
The resort is a five-star, all-inclusive beachfront property, located in the Mexican state of Nayarit. From a la carte to gourmet, buffet to brunch, watersports and glorious sunshine, players will have every opportunity to ensure they relaxed and well prepared for the exciting days of play ahead of them.

For the second event of Season 2 the PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour comes to Mexico, and to the beach resort of Nuevo Vallarta. This will the tour’s first visit to Mexico and the event will take place at the Marival Resort and Suites, December 5-7, 2008. This eagerly anticipated event is sure to attract a field containing the best poker players from Mexico and beyond.
The Main Event of LAPT Nuevo Vallarta will feature a $3,500 + $200 buy-in, and there will also be a Second Chance tournament, with a$1,020 + $80 buy-in. The Main Event will be capped at 500 entrants and the Second Chance at 300.
As ever, the event will kick-off with one of PokerStars’ famous welcome parties, and there will also be live satellites to the Main Event. Nuevo Vallarta is a beautiful beach resort and there is plenty do. You can take part inwatersports or simply relax in the sun.

LAPT satellites qualifiers are available daily at PokerStars. Winners will be awarded an LAPT prize package that includes a main event buy-in, 4 night’s accommodation and money for expenses.

Live Sit & Go satellites will be running the night before the Main Event from 9:30PM till 1:00AM.
